The Pennsylvania Economic Development Association offers an annual certification for the Economic Development Professional. It is classified as an Individual Certification, not to be confused with the Organizational Certification administered by the Pennsylvania Economic Development Institute.
Active PEDA Members are eligible to apply for acceptance into the program. The application process is based on the individual's current job, job duties and number of years in the economic development field. Participants in the program earn their initial and on-going Individual Certification Status by acquiring 20 Professional Development Units (PDUs)
