PEDA Congratulates DCED Secretary Nominee
The Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association (PEDA) would like to congratulate Rick Siger on his nomination, by Governor-Elect Josh Shapiro, to serve as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). Mr. Siger currently serves as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the President of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). On behalf of the statewide association of local, state, corporate and non-profit economic development professionals, members of PEDA leadership are pleased to have already participated in multiple conversations with members of the Shapiro Transition Team and look forward to working with leaders within the new administration.
Based on the knowledge, experience and insights of PEDA members, we believe no organization is better suited to offer recommendations on how to best foster the economic growth of the Commonwealth. Together, we will continue to work to ensure the delivery of a coordinated message, on behalf of the economic development community, and an ongoing dialogue with leaders within the Shapiro administration. PEDA members interested in lending their voices to these efforts are encouraged to join our Advocacy Committee by emailing info@peda.org. Professionals interested in learning more about PEDA and the value of membership can visit www.peda.org.
