2025 Basic Economic
Development Course in PA
PEDA, the IEDC-accredited sponsor of the Basic Economic Development Course in PA, invites you to register for the 2025 Course beginning in September 2025 and concluding in November 2025. The first, second, and last days will be held in person at the Penn Harris Hotel in Camp Hill, PA. Four sessions will be held virtually via Zoom. Participants are required to attend all in person and virtual sessions in order to earn a certificate of completion.

Course Objectives:

Learn fundamental concepts and theories of economic development.

Gain knowledge and skills needed to be successful in today's challenging economic environment.

Receive training from experienced faculty drawn from the ranks of business, government, academia, and the private sector.

Network with other economic development professionals.

The course is accredited by the International Economic Development Council. It fulfills one of the prerequisites for those who wish to take the examinations for the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation.

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization serving economic developers. IEDC provides leadership and excellence in economic development for its communities, members, and partners.
Registration Fees:
PEDA Member - $675 thru August 12, 2025
PEDA Member - $725 after August 12, 2025
Non-Member - $775 thru August 12, 2025
Non-Member - $825 after August 12, 2025
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
Cancellations/refund requests must be submitted in writing to tlinn@wannerassoc.com no later than 12:00 pm on Friday, August 22, 2025. No refunds will be granted after that point. All cancellations and refunds are subject to an administrative fee. No-shows will not be refunded. Substitutions are permitted, but are subject to rate adjustments (i.e., member vs. non-member, etc.), where applicable. Thank you for understanding and adhering to our policy.
Hotel Room Block:
Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Penn Harris Hotel at 717-763-7117. Identify yourself as part of the BEDC meeting to receive the rate of $129 plus tax.
